A Friend of Friends

How Quick
How Unexpected

A Friend So Dear
All of a Sudden
He is not here

Memories Remain
But there is no more earthly future
For this Friend
Who Touched so Many

A Kind Word he did Have
For Everyone who Crossed His Path
He touched Hearts
Like none I have ever known

If I would but sit and Listen
He would opine and opine
He loved to opine but
He also loved to lend his ear

Oh those Longhorns, those beloved Longhorns
He understood the Defense
For He was once a player
He loved the game, he loved all sports
He loved fishing
He loved to talk about fishing
And Talk about Fishing
He was good at fishing

He loved to be with people
He brought them together
His was the gift of hospitality
For He knew How to make you feel welcome

He loved His Wife
They rejoiced in each other’s company
Like few I have seen

They did everything together
Like few I have seen
They shared their meals together
They shared life together
Like few I have seen

His Children He did Worship
His Children He did serve
Second only to His Creator and Spouse

He would lay his life down for those kids
He did lay his life down for those kids
He gave and He gave, for He was a giver
He was a Father of all Fathers
We all can learn from this Father of Fathers
This Husband of Husbands

We were in the presence of something Special
What a shame it takes a death to realize
We were in the presence of someone Special
This husband of husbands
This Father of Fathers
This Friend of Friends

We thank you Father
That You touched so Many
That You blessed so Many
Through this Man

We are Sorry it takes a Death
To realize We were in the Presence
Of a Special Unique Creation

We hold His memory Dear
We Hold His Family Dear
His Bec, His Meagan, His Heath and His Stacey
He did Love Them
There is no Doubt

He Loved His Extended Family
He treated His Friends like Family
He even loved His restaurant waiters
This Man knew Love, He knew God
He loved everyone, unless you cut him Off in Traffic

In Memory of Dan Morrow
